Maryland MediationMediation is a process where spouses/parents can speak with a neutral mediator in a private meeting to discuss settlement of custody and/or property issues. Most mediators require that either both spouses/parents have attorneys present or neither spouse/parent has an attorney present. Courts will typically require all parties to try mediation before a divorce trial, unless there are issues of past threats or violence.
